I’m pleased to announce the Beta 2 release of the parallel dwarfs project. The new distribution contains the following enhancements to the original release:
*A completely rewritten branch and bound dwarf, including unmanaged serial, OpenMP, and MPI, and managed serial, TPL, and MPI .NET kernels
*Dense algebra F# serial and TPL kernels, and a unmanaged PPL kernel
*Finite state machine F# serial, TPL, and MPI .NET kernels
*Graph models F# serial, async, TPL, and MPI .NET kernels
*Map reduce F# serial, TPL, MPI .NET kernels and a unmanaged PPL kernel
*Sparse algebra F# serial and TPL kernels, and a unmanaged PPL kernel
*Spectral method F# serial, async, TPL, and MPI .NET kernels, and an unmanaged PPL kernel
*Numerous bug fixes and optimizations
*Support for Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 and .NET 4.0 Beta 2
*A/B comparison support in Dwarfbench
*Dwarf discovery and input file discovery in Dwarfbench
A total of 28 new kernels and some significant enhancements to Dwarfbench to make a much more usable environment for creating new dwarf kernels and comparing them against existing kernels.
Congratulations team and great work.
